Youths declare war on Obiano’s wife for assaulting Bianca Ojukwu

Igbo youths under the aegis of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, (COSEYL) have declared war against the wife of outgone Anambra State governor, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, for assaulting the wife of the late Biafran leader, Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu during the swearing-in of Professor Charles Soludo as the new governor of the state on Thursday.

The Igbo youths lashed out at the former governor Obiano’s wife, describing her action as an insult to Ndigbo.

In a statement issued in Owerri on Thursday, the President General of the Igbo group, Goodluck Ibem, further described Mrs Obiano’s attitude towards Ojukwu’s wife as despicable and disrespectful.

He said: ‘It is the height of insult on the entire Igbo nation for Mrs Obiano to slap the wife of our revered and great Igbo Leader and Icon Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu. Mrs Obiano has exposed to the entire world that she is an untrained and uncouth low life.”

There was mild drama on Thursday during the inauguration of Prof Charles Soludo as Governor when Willie Obiano’s wife Ebelechukwu and Bianca Ojukwu engaged in a fight. Obiano’s wife confronted Bianca, accusing her of not wanting the husband to be Governor while calling her a bitch. In retaliation, Mrs Ojukwu stood up and slapped her leading to a fight.
