DPO killed by armed bandits buried in home town amid tears

Reports emerged on Thursday that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) killed by bandits on Tuesday in Niger State has been buried in Kebbi State.

Reports say that the DPO, CSP Mohammed Umar Dakingari, was heading the police station in Nasco local government area of Niger State before bandits stormed his residence and killed him.
 
Also before his death, the late DPO was an Aide De Camp (ADC) to former governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Saidu Usman Nasamu Dakingari.

His corpse was conveyed to Dakingari his home town on Tuesday and was buried at Dakingari Central Cemetery, according to Muslim rites amidst thousands of sympathies.

Sympathisers said Umar was known when he was an ADC to Nasamu for his honesty, dedication and braveness in discharging his duties.
